In the field of automotive electronics, securing long-term orders from a major European retail chain is one of the highest forms of recognition for a manufacturer's comprehensive capabilities. Three years ago, a European automotive accessory giant was seeking a multi-functional car jump starter for its private-label brand — one that integrates jump starting, power bank, and LED lighting functions. The product had to pass international certifications such as CE, RoHS, and UN38.3, have an annual supply capacity of no less than 300,000 units, and maintain a consistency of quality capable of withstanding the rigorous environment of large-scale retail. Faced with this challenge and opportunity, ACETOP, with its proven manufacturing strength and robust quality system, successfully embarked on what has become a model OEM partnership.
From the very beginning of the collaboration, ACETOP’s professional team was deeply involved in product definition. The initial industrial design provided by the customer was novel in appearance, but posed risks in internal stacking and heat dissipation. Our R&D center proposed an optimization plan, rearranging the layout between the high-rate battery cells and the mainboard, and adding thermal silicone pads and an aluminum alloy heat sink bracket, significantly improving thermal stability during continuous high-current starts. At the same time, the design team, considering European user aesthetic preferences, made refined adjustments to the button feel and the soft-light effect of the indicator, making the product more aligned with local market preferences.
During the manufacturing stage, ACETOP’s 7,500-square-meter integrated manufacturing base demonstrated powerful vertical integration capabilities. The metal and plastic injection center produced a high-strength, impact-resistant housing, ensuring safety in drop tests. The hardware processing center precisely manufactured the positive and negative clamps and conductive posts. The core SMT workshop used fully automated placement lines to ensure soldering precision and consistency on the circuit boards. The battery grading workshop rigorously matched each high-rate lithium cell, ensuring minimal differences in internal resistance and capacity within each battery pack. Five flexible product assembly lines were configured according to order volume, with a maximum daily output of 2,000 units, fully meeting the customer’s peak delivery demands.
However, what ultimately convinced the customer to entrust us with more product lines is ACETOP’s deeply ingrained quality culture. We have a solid flow of Production Material Control (PMC), In-Process Quality Control (IPQC), Finished Product Quality Control (QC), and Outgoing Quality Assurance (QA). Every batch of incoming battery cells undergoes charge-discharge cycle testing and a full check of voltage and internal resistance. During production, IPQC conducts functional spot tests every two hours, focusing on peak starting current and USB output ripple. After final assembly, the QC team performs rigorous sampling inspections based on AQL standards, and conducts reliability tests simulating -20°C low-temperature starts, short-circuit protection, and reverse-polarity protection. What gives the customer the greatest peace of mind is our unwavering practice of performing a 100% functional check on every single unit before shipment, ensuring that every product reaching the end consumer performs perfectly.
This extreme pursuit of quality has translated into tangible commercial returns. In the first year, the customer ordered 200,000 units. Due to a return rate far lower than comparable products and a flood of positive consumer reviews, the order increased to 280,000 units in the second year, and surpassed 400,000 units in the third year. During the annual audit, the customer’s purchasing director remarked, "ACETOP is not just our supplier; you are a strategic manufacturing partner who safeguards our brand’s reputation." Today, we have expanded our cooperation with this customer to multiple product lines, including portable air compressors and car power supplies, continuously creating value for our partners with champion-level quality and delivery capability.
